Read book blurb here

Robby Riverton was making a name for himself on the New York stage, until he witnesses a murder one night and before he knows it, he's in a wagon train heading out west. One thing leads to another, and before too long, Robby is masquerading as Miss Rowena Fairchild and is headed to the Crabtree Ranch to wed Clovis Crabtree. And the handsome Sheriff who saved Rowena's life in Santa Fe from the gangsters from New York who had followed Robby? Turns out he's Trace Crabtree, Clovis' brother.

What follows is a sweet, funny tale of an actor playing the role of a lifetime. As Rowena, he befriends the entire Crabtree family, teaches them some manners, bonds with his "sisters-in-law-to-be," learns the deep dark secret of the Crabtree family, and shows Pa-Pa Crabtree that he's not jes a purdy gal - by golly, he's got gumption!

As Robby Riverton, he and Trace soon learn they share the same inclinations and before too long, they share steamy sexy nights in the bunkhouse or the cabin by the river, while waiting for the danger to pass.

Eli Easton has created some wonderful characters here - in particular, the entire Crabtree family who are wonderfully fleshed out. Robby is a great character - honest and kind and forthright about the kind of life he wants to share with Trace. The epilogue is a lovely insight into their HEA and the book is a sweet peach of a book and a delight to read! 4.5 stars.
