It was .... okay. I mean, it was a good book and no one writes "former lovers reconnecting and finally getting it right" better than Josh Lanyon and as always, I adore the way she slowly unfolds their collective past and gives them a second chance. But did it move me, and will I remember what the plot was when I look back on my 2020 book list? Nope, sorry. 3.5 stars.

Our main characters are a charismatic actor in the role of a lifetime, and a world-weary PI on set to find who stole a missing script. There's an instant sizzle between the two, and a well-plotted murder mystery and it all works in just a handful of pages. I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series!
